Vodafone Customers can access M-Shop by dialing 53333 (toll free) or SMS MSHOP to 53333. Customers can also buy tickets by logging into Vodafone Live or www.vodafone.in.
Through this exclusive service on Vodafone, customers can enjoy the privilege of booking DLF IPL Season 3 tickets on their handset at any time and place convenient to them. Customers will be guided through an easy step by step process where they can choose seats in a particular stand of their choice to cheer for their favorite team. Payment for the tickets can be made through credit cards with a convenience charge of Rs. 30 per ticket. Customers get an SMS acknowledgment immediately on confirmation of payment, making it safe and secure. Once they purchase a ticket they have an option of collecting it from select Vodafone stores or get it delivered at their home at a nominal courier charge.

The Western Union Company reported the certification of two participants in its Mobile Vendor Program: India-based mChek and South Africa-based Fundamo. The money transfer company announced the launch of the program at the GSMA Mobile Money Summit in Barcelona, Spain, in June of last year.
The main focus of the program is to extend the reach and accessibility of Western Union Money Transfer® services to mobile finance initiatives in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Nokia, on Monday announced the launch of the world’s first money transfer platform through mobiles in India as it enjoys the market leader’s hip and a wide distribution network in the world’s one of the fasting growing handset market.
Niklas Savander, executive vice-president, services at Nokia, told a press conference that the pilot project has been launched in Pune last week in partnership with Yes Bank and Obopay, which runs mobile payments platform. He, however, did not divulge the time of the commercial launch of the project.

Well over 1.3 million bank customers in the UK and in the USA are already using Monitise’s ser-vices to check their account balance, set up and receive text alerts, transfer money and pay bills on their mobile phones in seconds.
The country’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI), which was among the first government banks to launch mobile banking services, claims to have developed the technology to support low-end /entry level mobile handsets for banking transactions.
SBI’s deputy managing director (IT) A Krishnakumar, said. SBI is working with its service provider, Spanco Telesystems, towards this. Till recently, only SBI customers with smartphones had access to the facility.
Etisalat, the United Arab Emirates’ leading telecom operator, has announced that the over 1.75 million Indian nationals living in the UAE will find it easier to send money home using their mobile phones, as the company is set to enter the $10 billion remittance market with a new service.
Etisalat has partnered with Citibank to start the programme in India, with plans to expand it to Bangladesh, Pakistan and Egypt in the coming months, the group’s chief marketing officer Essa al Haddad said in Dubai.
SBI Card has launched its new service, mShop, which could be used by customers for shopping across India by means of mobile phones. SBI Card is the credit card service provided as a joint service by State Bank and GE Capital.
The SBI Card holders can now shop 24×7 over secure networks using the mShop service.
Despite a tough regulatory environment for mobile banking in India, Nokia expects to soon roll out its financial and banking services in the country under the banner of ‘Nokia Money’. The world’s largest mobile phone company has initiated talks with six banks in India who will be responsible for cash management and handling banking regulatory issues.
As per Nokia’s strategy, it plans to tap its huge network of 1.9 lakh phone retailers and dealers who will act as the consumer point and banking correspondents.
Tata Indicom, India’s leading cellular service provider, in association with Corporation Bank, and PayMate, India’s leading wireless transactions platform provider, today announced the launch of ‘Green Money Transfer’- a unique person-to-person mobile money transfer service.
The transfer of funds via mobile will be facilitated by PayMate’s technology, Corporation Bank’s banking system and Tata’s PCO and True Value Shop (TVS) network. Tata Indicom is the first Indian private telecom operator to enter into a partnership of this nature wherein a PCO/TVS is used as the initiation point for person-to-person money transfer.
Reliance Communications today said it has entered into an agreement with Financial Technologies Group firm atom technologies for using its mobile financial solutions.
The partnership would allow RCom users to access a secure platform for making payments using Reliance mobile, RCom said in a statement.
