BSNL announces most affordable 3G services
BSNL announced tariff plans for 3G mobile services under pre-paid voice, video and data plans. The voice call will now be available for 30 paisa per minute and video calls will be available at the rate of voice calls for Local & STD.
BSNL is also offering affordable data usage at a rate of 1 paisa or less per 10 kilobytes (kb).
The state-owned telecom giant also announced that its existing 2G mobile services shall now be available at 1 paisa per second for local and STD calls on pan- India basis for all calls made within the BSNL network. Calls to other networks for local as well as STD shall be made available at 1.20 paisa per second.
It has announced another plan that allows local and STD calls to any network at 49 paise per minute, BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goyal said. The 49 paise/minute call is expected to help BSNL grab more users and take on the competition, as it takes the tariff to new low as far as STD calls are concerned.
Speaking on the occasion, Goyal said, “It is an historic occasion for the country that India has now come at par with most developed countries of the world by making 3G services available to the citizens at the most affordable rates.”
